Plainview-Esmeralda Magallanes Alvares, 49, of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in Amarillo. Memorial Services will be held on Monday August 18, 2014 at 4 P.M. in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Services are under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home. Ms. Alvares was born on January 11, 1965 to Francisco and Maria (Barrera) Magallanes in Piedras Negras, Mexico. She was known to most for her love of singing, dancing, bingo, and contagious laugh and smile, but most of all for the love of her family. She is preceded in death by her mother. Those left to cherish her memory are her father; Francisco Magallanes, one daughter; Jennifer Magallanes, seven brothers; Robert Magallanes, Armando, Magallanes, Joe Magallanes, Francisco Magallanes Jr , Jesus Magallanes, Luis Magallanes, Juan Magallanes, and one sister Norma Ortega.
