Eric Anthony Sanchez, 24 of Plainview, passed away on January 3, 2025. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Lemons Memorial Chapel in Plainview. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Erik was born in Plainview, Texas on May 11, 2000, to Sandy Zapata and Michael Sanchez. Erik graduated from Plainview High School in 2018 and was known for his loving personality.

Erik was a gamer and at one point he had every console. He enjoyed going to the movie theatre, and watching Marvel, Godzilla, and Transformer movies. He also enjoyed listening to all genres of music, especially Indie and Techno. His siblings would say he was spoiled because he usually got his way. Erik was a very joyful person with a heart of gold, and beautiful hair, eyelashes, and dimples that you could see a mile away. He was loved by everyone he met, and he will truly be missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Sandy Zapata, his father, Michael Sanchez, two brothers, Joe Casares and Jeremiah Sanchez, one sister, Sasha Sanchez, maternal grandmother, Elva Guajardo, maternal grandfather, Gregorio Zapata and wife Sandy, paternal grandfather, Bernabe Sanchez, one uncle, Brian Zapata and wife Terry, three aunts, Stella Marroquin, Isabell Pizana and Josie Rodriguez and a host of cousins.

Erik is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Eulalia Sanchez, three uncles, Felix Sanchez, Greg Zapata, Jr., and Tony Sanchez, and one cousin, Anthony Rodriguez.
