Erasmo Lopez, 70 of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019.  A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 o' clock in the morning on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Bill Anton celebrating.  Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery.  A Rosary will be recited at 6 o' clock in the evening on Sunday at Lemons Memorial Chapel.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Erasmo was born on April 2, 1949 to Vidal Sr. and Juanita Lopez in Plainview, TX.  He married the love of his life, Josie Herrera, on May 18, 1974 in Plainview.  Erasmo worked in logistics most of life and retired in 2005.  He was a handyman who could build just about anything with his hands.  He also liked working on cars.  Erasmo enjoyed watching football and was a Dallas Cowboy fan.  Above all, Erasmo was man of God and devout Catholic.  He and Josie looked forward to going to mass together.  He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe and will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; and one brother: Hector Lopez.

Erasmo is survived by his wife: Josie of the home; two daughters: Janie Marie Lopez and Linda Eve Arroyos and husband Ismael all of San Antonio;  one brother: Vidal Lopez Jr; two sisters: Rita Sepeda and Irene Flores both of Plainview; and two grandchildren: Alexus and Isiah Arroyos.
