Elsa "Weda" Muñiz, 61 of Plainview, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020. A Rosary will be st 6 o'clock in the evening on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 1 o' clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Plainview Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Elsa was born on October 23, 1959 to Celestino and Pauline Muñiz in Artesia, NM. She was a caregiver all her life, not only to her family but in-home health as well. Elsa's family was her world; they meant everything to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Elsa was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Celestino and Pauline Muñiz; one son: Jaime Muñiz; and one brother: Pedro Muñiz

Elsa is survived by one daughter: Elizabeth Navarrete and husband Alex Hernandez of Plainview; one brother: Johnny Muñiz and wife Belinda Vaquera of Plainview; eight grandchildren: Rachelle, Ajon and husband Raymundo, Jose, Elisa, Stacie, Elijah, Maricella and Pauline; two great grandchildren: Heaven and Aaliyah.
