Elpidio Nieto Perez, 79 of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, in Abilene. Services for Mr. Perez will be held at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Viewing will be held at 3:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am, on Thursday, July 6, 2023, officiated by Pastor Steve Martinez of Trinity Life Church. Family arrangements are entrusted to the Lemons Funeral Home.
Elpidio was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Primo Perez and Maria Trinidad Salinas Nieto on November 16, 1943. He married Emilia San Juan de Perez on May 8, 1982, in Hereford, Texas.
Elpidio worked as a farmer until he retired. In his past time, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing pool, BBQing, watching rodeos and baseball, especially the Red Sox.
He is survived by his wife, Emilia Perez, his son, Johnny Perez and his wife Erika Perez of Plainview, Texas; his daughters: Lupita San Juan of San Antonio, Texas and Veronica Dotson of Clyde, Texas; two brothers: Richard and Juan Salinas; eight grandchildren: Ivan, Aubrey, Jacobi, Gabi, Viviana, Ariana, Mayra, and Sasha and one great grandchild, Aviana, as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Elpidio is preceded in death by his parents, Primo and Maria Trinidad Perez; two brothers: Pedro Sanchez and Raymundo Perez, and one sister, Justina Garcia.

Elpidio Nieto Pérez, de 79 años de Plainview, falleció el sábado 1 de julio de 2023 en Abilene. Los servicios para el Sr. Pérez se llevarán en Lemons Memorial Chapel. Visitación se llevará a a las 3:00 p.m. hasta las 8:00 p.m. el miércoles 5 de julio de 2023. El servicio fúnebre se llevará a cabo a las 11:00 a.m., el jueves 6 de julio de 2023, oficiado por el pastor Steve Martínez de la Iglesia Trinity Life. Los arreglos se confían a Lemons Funeral Home.
