Eliazar Salinas-Ortega, de 71 años de Plainview, falleció el sábado 24 de junio de 2023 en su residencia. Se rezará un Santo Rosario a las 6:00 pm, el miércoles 28 de junio de 2023, en 108 Beech St., Plainview, Texas. Una misa fúnebre para el Sr. Salinas se llevará a cabo a las 10:00 a.m., el jueves 29 de junio de 2023, en la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe con el Padre Bill Anton oficiando. El entierro seguirá en el Plainview Cemetery. Los arreglos funerarios se confían a Lemons Funeral Home.
Eliazar nació el 22 de agosto de 1951 en la Ciudad de México, hijo de Agustín Salinas Maldonado y María Modesta Ortega Pino. Se casó con Celia Mejía el 22 de agosto de 1968 en la Ciudad de México.
Eliazar cultivó toda su vida y disfrutó arreglando y construyendo cosas. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia, especialmente con sus nietos. Le encantaba leer la Biblia y era miembro de la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.
Le sobreviven su esposa, Celia Salinas; cinco hijos, Ramiro Salinas, Saturnino Salinas, Agustín Salinas, Daniel Salinas y Eleazar Salinas; dos hijas, María Gonzales y Brenda Salinas; dieciséis nietos y dos bisnietos.
Le preceden en la muerte sus hijos, Edgar Salinas Mejía y Leonel Salinas.

Eliazar Salinas-Ortega, 71 of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his residence. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm, Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 108 Beech St., Plainview, Texas. A Funeral Mass for Mr. Salinas will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Bill Anton officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.
Eliazar was born on August 22, 1951, in Mexico City to Agustin Salinas Maldonado and Maria Modesta Ortega Pino. He married Celia Mejia on August 22, 1968, in Mexico City.
Eliazar farmed his whole life and enjoyed fixing and building things. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved reading the bible and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Celia Salinas; five sons, Ramiro Salinas, Saturnino Salinas, Agustin Salinas, Daniel Salinas and Eleazar Salinas; two daughters, Maria Gonzales, and Brenda Salinas; sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by sons, Edgar Salinas Mejia, and Leonel Salinas.
