Melba Elaine (Wiggins) Goodwin, age 77, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at her home in Lago Vista. Graveside services were held at 10am, Saturday, February 5, 2022, in Plainview Memorial Park. Arrangements were entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Elaine was born on March 1, 1944, in Hale Center, Texas to Samuel Frances and Mamie Lois (Morton) Wiggins. She was a schoolteacher for 45 years from elementary through high school.

Elaine is survived by one son, Matthew Goodwin of Mineral Wells, TX; one daughter, Lesli Richardson of Lago Vista, TX; one brother, Derral Wiggins of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her sons: Gregory Russ and Lance Mark Richardson and her parents.
