With deepest sorrow, we announce that Edward Vera, age 50, our beloved, son, brother, uncle, family member, and friend passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023, in Plainview, Texas. There will be no services at this time. Arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Edward is survived by his mother, Juanita Vera; his siblings: Peter Vera (Sandra), Jerry Vera (Gracie), Virginia "Gina" Perez (John), Paul Vera (Laurel), Veronica Quintero (Gene), Elizabeth "Liz" Vera (Bobby), and Oscar Vera; fifteen nieces and nephews, one great nephew, and two great nieces.

He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Otto Vera.

Edward was born and raised in Plainview, Texas. He attended Plainview public schools and graduated from Plainview High School in 1991.

Edward worked various jobs throughout his life. He worked at McGavock Motors, Cargill, Tyson foods, and Casa Rica. He lived in Amarillo, Texas for several years before returning back to Plainview in 2021.

He enjoyed spending time with family, watching sports, and yard work/gardening.

Edward showed his courage in facing life's challenges and stayed strong until the end. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
