Eduviges Esparza, 54, of Plainview, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 15, 2013. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Mexico at a later date.
Eduviges was born on July 7, 1959 in San Luis Del Cordero, Durango, Mexico to Refugio and Antonia (Castaneda) Moreno. She and Jesus Esparza were married on November 1, 1982 in her hometown in Mexico. Eduviges was a loving mother and homemaker who was dedicated to her house, home and family. She was a great cook and an excellent seamstress. Eduviges belonged to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church. She will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Eduviges is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Jesus Esparza; her father, Refugio Moreno of Mexico; her children: Jose G. Esparza and his wife, Magdalena; Raquel Esparza and her husband, Horacio Martinez; and Rocio Esparza; five grandsons and one granddaughter, all of Plainview. She is also survived by her siblings: Margarito Moreno, Luis Moreno, Cipriano Moreno, Refugia Garcia, Sandra Moreno, Rosa Moreno, Guadalupe Moreno, and Alejandra Moreno. She was preceded in death by her mother, Antonia Moreno.
