Dorothy was born July 22, 1930, in Ralls, Texas to Henry Alton and Sylvia Josephine (Fitzer) Lamb. She married Warner Eugene "Sonny" Bedwell, December 20, 1947, and he passed away July 19, 1997. She attended Morton schools and graduated from Morton High School in 1946. After graduating, Dorothy attended South Plains College in Levelland for two years. She was a teacher for the Plainview Independent School District at Coronado Jr. High for over 20 years.
