Doris Julian Borum, age 96, formerly of Plainview, passed away at her daughter, Dovie Harding's, home in Lubbock, on January 5, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 9, 2017, at Parkview Baptist Church in Plainview. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park. Arrangements under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

Doris was born on September 4, 1920 in Como, Texas to Joseph Maxwell and Dovie P. (Garvin) Heflin. She married Arthur Daniel Julian in Plainview on December 23, 1937. Together they raised a beautiful family and remained married until his passing in March of 1986.

Doris married Roy Edgar Borum in August of 1988, he preceded her in death in October of 1994.

She served as the Nutrition Program Director for the Senior Citizens Center for many years until her retirement in 1985. She also worked in the nutrition programs at Plainview I.S.D. and worked at Morrison Booterie. Doris spent her lifetime caring for friends and family alike; she was a loving caregiver. She enjoyed reading and playing dominoes. Doris was a faithful member of Parkview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Arthur Julian and Roy Borum, son, David M. Julian, daughter, Maxine Vernon, and all her brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dovie Harding and husband Paul of Lubbock, Peggy Willis and husband Gary of Decatur, Pearl Cory and husband John of Lubbock, daughter-in-law, Lanell Julian, 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
