There will be a celebration of his life on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 3:30-6:00 p.m. at his residence, 106 Zephyr. The family requests that attendees wear something red in his honor as it was his favorite color. There will be a balloon send off as memories, thoughts and prayers will be shared at that time. Please come by and help celebrate his life. Final arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Donnie was born on October 21, 1948 in Lamar County to Voll Doollie and Bertha Dell (Dopp) Watson. He was the youngest of seven children. He married Beverly Harris in November, 1968 in Plainview. Donnie was the owner of "Don's Auto Sales" of Plainview for 13 years. He was a diesel mechanic by trade for over 30 years. He loved being around family more than anything else. His greatest treasure was helping family and anyone in need. He never met a stranger. Donnie had many pleasures in life including playing slot machines, attending auto auctions and playing dominoes .(not particularly in that order).

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Beverly, of the home; one son, Michael Watson of Cottonwood, AZ; two daughters, Misty Crocker of Kress and Kristy Watson of Plainview. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
