Domingo S. "Pops" Ramos, 79, of Plainview, passed away on February 28, 2017.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Lemons Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors from 9:00-10:30 prior to the funeral service in the Chapel.

Pops was born on January 16, 1938 near Los Fresnos, Texas to Augustine and Guadalupe (Suarez) Ramos.  He worked as a Lead Foreman at Excel for many years.  Pops enjoyed camping.  He was skilled in Martial Arts and was a 5 ^th Degree Black Belt.  He and Brenda Leatherwood Ramos met while they were working at Excel and they have spent the past 21 years together.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jr. Jett; two brothers, Faustino Ramos and Jose Ramos and one sister, Esperanza Hernandez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda; two daughters, Marisela Saline Torres and husband James of Overland Park, KS and Barbara Gayle Hollis and husband John of Dodge City, KS; one son, Billy Jett and wife Robin of McAlister, OK; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by one sister, Carmen Rios and extended family members, Terasa Leatherwood and Alicia West of Plainview and John Leatherwood and wife Crystal of Burkburnett.
