Dolores Castillo Ramirez, 79 of Lubbock, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at her residence. A visitation will be held at 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Monday, July 29, 2024 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Cremation services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Dolores was born in Carrizo Springs, Texas on February 26, 1945, to Juan Castillo and Paulina Ramos Castillo. She was a member of the Primera and Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock.

Dolores was  an independent, caring, loving, but strict, hard worker, she was the first woman foreman at Excel. She loved music, God, and going to church, she especially loved her family, and clowning around with them. She always strived to make sure her children knew that she always wanted them to do their best in life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan, and Paulina Castillo, and her two brothers, Guillermo Castillo, and Marcello Castillo.

Dolores is survived by one son, Lazaro Diaz and wife Eva, of Midland; two daughters, Crystal Ramirez Bosquez and husband Joe, and Danielle Ramirez, all of Lubbock; one brother, Juanito Castillo of Carrizo Springs; five sisters, Margarita Montejano of San Antonio, Celestina Ruiz and husband Servando, of Plainview, Raquel Salinas and husband Frank of San Antonio, Estella Ramirez and husband Eddy of San Antonio, and Paulina Ueckert and husband Terry of San Antonio; ten grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
