Diane Monroe, 76 of Plainview, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 in Plainview. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Diane was born in Quanah, Texas on March 13, 1948, to Bertom Finley and Sara Jack Roberts. She attended schools Wichita Falls and graduated from Cosmetology School. She married Clifford Monroe on April 23, 1967, in Paducah, Texas. Mr. Monroe passed away on October 2, 2015.

Diane taught Cosmetology School and enjoyed cutting hair. She was an artist and was talented at painting beautiful artwork and playing the piano and organ. She loved to bake and cook; but more than any of those things, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Monroe, granddaughter. Veronica Monroe, and her parents, Bertom and Sara Finley.

Diane is survived by her two sons, Matt Monroe (Rose) of Hale Center, and Michael Monroe (Donna) of Amarillo, her daughter, Meredith Monroe (Anthony Davis) of Hale Center, her brother, Dee Finely of Vernon, her two sisters, Debra Atnip of Vernon, and Denise Beck of Guthrie, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
