Delfina T. Garcia, 79 of Plainview, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, in Plainview. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Lemons Memorial Chapel with Raul Torres officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Delfina T. Garcia was born on August 27, 1945, in Boulder, Colorado to John and Marian Torres. Delfina was raised in Gill, Colorado by her grandparents Jose and Hermelinda Torres. She married the love of her life Jose Garcia on April 15, 1967, in Greeley, Colorado and together they had three children. In 1982 they decided to make the move to Texas.

Delfina enjoyed spending time decorating, crocheting, and watching Little House on the Prairie. She especially loved to cook for everyone, and you always knew you would leave her house with a full stomach, and she made sure you would be able to take something back home. She especially loved to spend time with her family and friends reminiscing about the past and reading her bible.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jose Garcia; two sons, Michael Garcia and wife Nelly of Peoria, Arizona and Nicholas Garcia and wife Marlene of San Tan Valley, Arizona; one daughter; Teresa Hernandez of Plainview, Texas; seven grandchildren: Nick Baker, Tony Lee Hernandez, Isaiah Hernandez, Gabriel Cantera, Alina Logan, Nicholas Garcia and Jaylene Garcia.

Delfina is preceded in death by her parents, John and Marian Torres, grandparents, Jose and Hermelinda Torres, and one brother, Lee Torres.
