Debra Zavala Beck was born on March 15, 1974, in Petersburg, Texas to Lorenzo and Irene Becerra Zavala. She had an older brother Lorenzo Jr. and two younger sisters, Cathy and Angelica. She lived with Lilly and Raul Garcia and their extended family for a few years, and they all loved her. Debra lived in Plainview with her husband Wesley Beck, for over 25 years, she made it official March 12, 2016, at Harvest Christian Fellowship.

As you can see, Debra was loved by many people and Debra loved all those that entered her life.
During her time with us she completed her education and spent many years contributing to educating her community at Edgemere Elementary. She also served, worked, and contributed to her community at Central Plains Center, Holiday Inn Express, Wee Care Child Center, Stay at Home mom, and SPCAA Head Start. In these different entities she developed lifelong relationships alongside some amazing people. If you spent any time with Debra, she never knew a stranger. She loved the winter weather and looked forward to it every year. She hated to sweat, and you would always catch her in shorts, T-shirt and chanclas most of the year. If you really knew Debra, you would know that she loved to read the Twilight Books series and was also part of the Twilight Fanatic Book Fan Club of Plainview. She was excited and could not wait for the movie series to start showing, so much so that she would even take time off from work to attend.
Debra was also a big Texas Tech and Dallas Cowboys fan, but do not get caught talking bad about her teams!
While her time on Earth was short, Debra's faith grew, and she made a commitment to follow Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She would question and wonder why things happened the way they did. She was curious and sought the truth and her faith journey deepened when she made a public profession of faith through water Baptism at Harvest Christian Fellowship.
Debra was still serving her family when her life was taken suddenly on June 29, 2023. Although she will no longer be with us, her laughter, smile, servant's heart, and love for her family and friends, will always remain with each one of us. She will always be remembered and loved by all. May she rest in God's loving arms, with her mom and dad by her side.
Her pallbearers are Justin Rodriguez, Malackai Mendez, Jeremy Zavala, Coloma Cox, Georgie Becerra, Joel Guerra, Sebastian Tafoya, and Charles Anthony Hernandez. The Honorary Pallbearers are Nathaniel Beck, Jasmine Zavala, Cody Wilhite, Demetre Velasquez, Mia Salas, Tristen Flores, Mercedes Guerra, Micheal Zavala, Ryan and Ryah Marroquin, Wesley Rodriguez, and Riktor "Richie" Glenn Ragains.
