Plainview-Debbie Ann Monroe, 60, of Kress, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014. Services will be held at First Assembly of God in Plainview at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2014. Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Monroe was born on June 9, 1954 in Plainview, TX. to Grady and Nina (Owens) Borum. She married Bob Monroe on September 23, 2000 in Plainview, TX. Mrs. Monroe spent her life caring for people as a nurse, she loved working on the farm, cooking, but her biggest passion was her family. As her family would tell you; she was the rock of the family. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Plainview. Mrs. Monroe is preceded in death by her mother; Nina, one daughter; Michelle Monroe, and one brother; Terry Broum. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband; Bob, two sons; Neils Christen Weiser and wife Tommy, Dakota Weiser and wife Ashlee, and one daughter; Jennifer Qualls and husband Ken. She also leaves behind two brothers; Gary Borum, Danny Borum and wife Kellie, and sisters; Angie Johnson and husband Dan, Patsy Davidson and husband Pete, and Tina McPherson and husband James.
