Daniel Oren Simmons, 63 of Olton, passed away on October 27, 2025, at his residence. Cremation services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Daniel was born on August 31, 1962 in Anamosa, Iowa. He attended schools in Anamosa and graduated in 1981. Daniel married Tamatha Rundall on October 5, 2002 in Waubeek, Iowa.

Daniel was a truck driver and enjoyed working on trucks, riding 3-wheelers, and bowling. He loved going to the parks, grilling, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Daniel loved people and made friends everywhere he went.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Tamatha Simmons: his children, Oren Simmons, Danielle Franck, Jessica Peyton, and Kye Simmons; and eleven grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by, his mother, Nancy (Jensen) Simmons; one brother, Guy Lawrence Simmons; and two grandchildren.
