The family will receive visitors from 6-7:30 on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Daniel was born July 22, 1947 in Harlingen, Texas to Modesto and Martha (Garcia) Caballero. He graduated from Plainview High School. He worked at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center and retired as an associate at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Plainview.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Esther Lopez.

He is survived by; two sons, Darrell Caballero and wife Lori and Daniel Caballero, Jr.; one daughter, Olivia Marie Caballero; two brothers, Leo Salinas of Miami Fl. and Ismael Caballero of Harlingen, TX; four sisters, Grace Perales, Mary Sue Peña, DaLinda Ramos all of Dallas, TX and Sylvia Lopez of Plainview, TX and three grandchildren, Breanna, Daniel, III and Johnny Zane Caballero.
