Cruz Quintero, 80 of Dimmitt, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at his residence. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 14, 2022, in Hart Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Cruz was born on October 4, 1941, in Brazos County, Texas to George and Hortencia (Guerra) Quintero. He married LaWanda Youts on October 19, 1976, in Tulia, Texas. She passed away on November 28, 2011.

Cruz enjoyed wood working and fishing. He was a hard worker and farmed most of his life.

He is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Vincent) Orona of Plainview and Diana Quintero (Felix Pena) of Owatonna, Minnesota; two brothers, Bobby Quintero of Hale Center and Raymond Quintero of New Mexico; two sisters, Tommie Crowder and Janie Hernandez both of Plainview; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
