Obituary

Concepcion Quiñonez, age 92, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, in Amarillo. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 5:00pm, January 4, 2024, at St. Alice Catholic Church in Plainview. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am, January 5, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dimmitt, with Father Raj Samala officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Funeral services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home Plainview.

Concepcion was born in Durango, Mexico on December 8, 1931, to Francisco Sianez and Maria Morales Sianez. She married Florentino Quiñonez on April 2, 1951, in Mexico.

Concepcion was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Dimmitt, TX and a Guadalupana, a women's organization dedicated to the service and devotion of the Blessed Mother under the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, cooking, and baking.

Those left to cherish her legacy and memory are five daughters, Socorro (Gary) Levy, Ofelia (Alfredo) Flores, Guadalupe (Sean) Kelley, Maricela (Lionel) Garcia, and Hortencia (Christopher) Wrampelmeier. Daughter-in-Law, Lupe M. Quinonez. Grandchildren, Natalia Quinonez-Parras, Florentino Andres Quinonez, Joshua & wife Julie Flores, Jennifer & husband Jeff Settle, Jonathan Garcia, Jeremy Garcia, Sean Kelley, Jr. & wife Jessica, Helen & husband Nicholas Bass, Cole and Chelsea Charland-Wrampelmeier, Drs. Claudia and Wyatt Wrampelmeier-Smith, and Holly Wrampelmeier. Great-grandchildren, Ana and Moses Parras, Stark and Ezio Flores, Charles Kelley, and Beau Bass. Longtime dear friends, Mary Helen Flores, Mikaela and Hildo De La Cruz, Mage Murillo, and Kika Sianez; as well as her beloved dog, Bartolo.

Concepcion is preceded in death by her husband, Florentino Quinonez; her sons, Julian, and Florentino Jr.; her parents, Francisco and Maria Sianez; her sisters, Ester, Ascencion, Eulalia, and Soledad; and her brothers, Jose, Alberto, and Geronimo.
