Cira Gomez Arredondo, 71, of Wichita Falls, formerly of Plainview, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 in Wichita Falls, Texas with her sisters at her side.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Poonely as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery.
A Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, in the Lemons Memorial Chapel.
Cira was born on August 3, 1946 in Mertzon, Texas. She was the third of seven children born to Robert and Georgia (Gomez) Arredondo. Although she had some limitations, she was a very loving, kind sister and aunt. She treasured spending time with her siblings and nieces and nephews. Often, she would become a caregiver to those she loved, having never let her handicaps limit her ability to lend a hand. She was always happy and cheerful. Cira enjoyed making bead necklaces and gifting them to her family. She was a treasure and her family felt blessed to have had her in their lives.
Cira was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Georgia Arredondo and three sisters, Delfina, Maricela and Irene Arredondo.
Those left to cherish her memory are one brother, Robert Arredondo, Jr. of Lubbock; two sisters, Dominga Aguirre and husband Pablo of Plainview and Ada Ortiz of Wichita Falls. She is also survived three loving nieces, Brenda Tijerina, Marisa Garcia and Sasha Martinez and
by four nephews, Robert Perales, Paul Aguirre, David Arredondo and Robert Arredondo, III.
