Christine Lee Jones, age 83 of Plainview, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at her residence. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Lemons Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, March 8, 2024, in Plainview Memorial Park. Graveside services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Christine was born in Salado, Texas on May 12, 1940,  to John I. Lankford and Cleo (Drake) Lankford. In 1962, she married Tim Jones in Planview, Texas and together they had four children. She was a volunteer for the local schools and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

Christine enjoyed spending her time working on crossword puzzles, traveling, and especially loved taking care of her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two daughters: Elizabeth Ann Bowden, and Barbara May Jones; and her parents, John and Cleo Lankford.

Christine is survived by her husband of 62 years, Tim Jones of Plainview, her son Timothy Eugene Jones and wife Christy of Arkansas, her daughter Debbie Gillit of Amarillo, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
