Chente Diaz, 36 of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. A viewing will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 pm, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Services are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Chente Diaz was born in Dimmitt, Texas on September 16, 1987, to David Diaz and Dolores (Gutierrez) Diaz. He graduated from Hart High School in 2006.  In 2009, he married Rhonda Saenz in Hart, Texas.

Chente was a truck driver and he loved driving his semi. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children. He enjoyed cookouts, music, and dancing.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Saenz Diaz, of Plainview; two sons: Carlos Perez, and Ramiro Diaz, of Plainview; three daughters: Albrey Diaz and Jazmine Perez, both of Plainview, and Jennifer Ortiz of Lubbock; his parents: David and Dolores Diaz, of Hart; two brothers: David Diaz (Annette) and Mario Diaz, of Hart; two sisters: Laura and Olga Diaz, both of Plainview; one sister-in-law, Sabrina Mazariegos (Eric), of Lubbock; three brothers-in-law: John Saenz (Lindsay), Morton Saenz (Monica), and Raymond Garcia, all of Plainview; and fourteen nieces, and  thirteen nephews.
