Charles Martinez, age 85, of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Lemons Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 12-8:00P.M. in the Lemons Memorial Chapel.  Arrangements under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Charles Martinez was born on May 6, 1932 in Poth, Texas to Charles and Guadalupe (Perez) Martinez.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lilia Martinez in 2009.
Charles is survived by his children; sons, Charles Martinez Jr. of Plainview, Ricky Martinez and wife Sally of Plainview, Enrique Martinez of Plainview, Manuel Martinez of Plainview, Florencio Martinez of Mexico and Jose Louis Martinez and wife Teresa of Pampa; daughters, Rosa Linda Arteaga and husband Salvador of Plainview, Rosario Caudillo and husband Paul of Plainview, Maria Elena Soto of Plainview, Alice Moreno and husband Roland of Garland, Margaret Martinez and husband Marvin Ellis of Plainview, and Irene Arrida of Fort Worth, 51 grandchildren, 120 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
