Carol Taylor, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in her home. She was born on May 7, 1940, to the late Leon and Mildred Cartwright. On January 23, 1958, she married Kent Taylor and together they began their family. Carol was a homemaker and loved her family. She was an Elder and Deaconess at First Christian Church of Plainview for over fifty years.
Carol was a wonderful mother who was there to support and guide her family. She was known for her kindness and love of God and music; she adored her seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
The church was her second home filled with her love and kindness, giving time whenever possible to do what they needed when they needed it. A true example of the Christian Spirit at work through her and to those around her.
Carol is survived by four children: Timmy, Grant, Rhonda and D'Linda; two daughters-in-law: Rose and Ann; as well as one sister, Mava, and her husband Fayne; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, brother-in-law, son-in-law, and grandchild.
A Celebration Service of Life will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, 11:00AM at The First Christian Church; 1800 North Interstate 27 in Plainview, Texas 79072.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Christian Church of Plainview.
