Carl Edwin Hickey, 8o of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021. No services will be held at this time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Carl was born on April 7, 1941 to Walter and Marion Williams Hickey in Baltimore, Maryland. He entered the United Sates Navy in 1959 and retired on Independence Day of 1979. On April 8 ^th , 1978 he married the love of his life Dianne Stimpson in Maine. They spent 43 wonderful years together. On his down time, Carl liked to go camping, fishing and travel around the states. He enjoyed family time spent with his kids and grandkids the most. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness and was baptized in 2006. Carl was a very jovial, kind, likeable man and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two daughters: Colleen Prather and Raelene Heald; and two brothers: Walter Clay Hickey Jr. and James Hickey.

Carl is survived by his wife: Dianne Hickey; one son: Robert Littrell (Marie) of Florida; four daughters: Karen Turner of Quakertown, PA, Kathleen Shuping (Danny) of Floydada; Renee Tomkins (Terry) of Bangor, ME, and Rhonda Weaver (Jim) of Florida; two brothers: Lee Allen Hickey and George Alfred Hickey both of South Carolina; thirty grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
