Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Garland Street Church of Christ with Steve Gauntt, Minister officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Terrace Cemetery in Post, Texas with Military Honors provided by the Honor Guard of Ft. Hood. The family will receive visitors from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 7th at Lemons Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.
Carl was born on March 16, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri to Carl Edward and Mary (Cole) Bowles. He was raised in Liberty Missouri. Carl proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army on June 1, 1964 and served for five years. He was recognized as the owner of Quadra-Kolor Multicolor Graphics, where he designed plates such as that for Skylab. Carl attended Platt College in 1984 where he studied Architecture. He married Debbie Ledbetter in 1989 in Plainview. Carl was employed by Save N Gain then transitioned to Walmart Distribution center until his retirement in 2009. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl E. Bowles in 2009.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 27 years, Debbie, of the home; his mother, Mary Bowles of Plainview; one son Steven Christopher Bowles of Plainview; two daughters, Chanda Solis of Lubbock and Meagan Sherman and husband Joshua of Plainview; four brothers, Stanley Bowles, Victor Bowles, Randy Bowles all of Missouri, Brad Bowles of Plainview and one sister, Barbara Adams of Plainview. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Koby, Austin, Mateo, Gabriel, Mackenzie, Jakob and Abigail and numerous nieces and nephews.
