Plainview-Camilia Talamantez, 95, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014 in Plainview, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in Lemons Memorial Chapel, with Rev. John Smith officiating. Interment will follow the service in Plainview Cemetery. Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014 at the funeral home. Mrs. Talamantez was born on July 18, 1918 in Brackettville, TX to the late Jesus and Tomasa (San Miguel) Flores. She married Cecilio Talamantez in Olton, TX. He preceded her in death in June of 1980. Mrs. Talamantez love to play bingo, dancing, listening to Tejano music, her family, but for her excitement she loved the casinos. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister; Corina Casteneda, and two brothers; Chris and Alfredo Flores. Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter; Mary Jo Fuentez, three brothers; Jesus, Jaime, and Jessie Flores; two sisters; Estella Rodriguez, and Mary Galindo. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Kay Martinez, Brenda Fuentez, Every Fuentez, Sarah Lee Fuentez Canavali, Pat Alfred Fuentez, and Thomascita Fuentez.
