Betty Jean Nagar, 69, of Plainview, passed away on September 30, 2017 with her husband at her side.

A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017 in the Lemons Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Betty at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Betty was born in Apache, OK on January 4, 1948. She proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. in 1967. While in the Marines, she met and married the love of her life, Manuel G. Nagar, Jr. They were wed on May 23, 1967 in Plainview. She was a devoted homemaker who cared deeply for her family. Betty was a kind, loving person who was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. Her family lovingly remembers her generosity of spirit. Betty's sense of humor was evident daily and her family will always remember her wit. Her love will be carried on through her husband, her children and grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Freda Kotay.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 50 years, Manuel, of Plainview; one daughter, Shondai Baca and husband Johnny of Frisco; three sons, Manuel Nagar, III and fiancé, Criselda Saiz of Austin, Michael Nagar of Los Angeles and Jeffery Nagar of Frisco and one brother, Elmer Cody. She is also lovingly survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
