Beda "Betty" Gonzalez, 78 of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, in Plainview. Funeral Mass for Mrs. Gonzalez will be at 10:00am, Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at St. Alice Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm, Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Lemons Memorial Chapel.

Betty was born on June 20, 1944, in Mertzon, Texas to Isaac and Rafela (Sosa) Sabedra. She married Eddie Gonzalez on September 12, 1964, in Plainview, Texas.

Betty was a cosmetologist for fifty years. She was a member of RSVP, Chamber of Commerce, Crisis Center, American Cancer Society, and St. Alice Author Society.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Gonzalez, Sr. of Plainview; son, Eddie Gonzalez, Jr. of Plainview; granddaughter, Nevaeh Gonzalez of Plainview; two brothers: Isaac Sabedra of Odessa, and Julian Sabedra of Fort Worth; sister, Lucy Sabedra of Amarillo; daughter-in-law, Lori Gonzalez, and many nieces and nephews who she loved very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mark Sabedra; and sisters, Dora Sabedra and Martha Pena.

Special thank you to her daughter-in-law, Lori Gonzalez for taking care of Mrs. Gonzalez the last couple of years.
