Baldomero G. Ortegon, who worked in the family irrigation business and long-time resident of Plainview, Tx, passed away on June 22, 2020 at the age of 77 peacefully in his home. Burial will take place at 12 o' clock in the afternoon on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Plainview Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Baldomero, also well-known as "Vate", was born in Texas on January 20, 1943 to Martin S. Ortegon and Teadora Gonzales Ortegon. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors whether it was in his yard or bbq'ing. His sense of humor and contagious smile will be missed.

Baldomero is survived by his sister; Lupe Lopez of Modesto, CA, his daughters; Brenda Ortegon of Garden City, KS, Rosa Castorena of Liberal, KS, Rhonda Torres of Garden City, Ks, Mattie Ortegon of Dalhart, Tx. 20 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Ortegon; by his parents; siblings; Oscar Ortegon, Ernesto Ortegon, Roel Ortegon, Raul Ortegon, Martin Ortegon and Alma Gracie Escobar, 4 great-great-grandchildren.
