Aurora Alaniz Moreno, 96 of Plainview, formerly of Robstown, went home to be in the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, November 8, 2019. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 2 o' clock in the afternoon on Monday, November 11, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Poonely celebrating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o' clock in the evening on Sunday at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Aurora was born on October 31, 1923 to Atilano and Romana Alaniz in Tynan, TX. On May 17, 1940 she married the love of her life, Jose Y. Moreno, in Robstown. They moved to Plainview in 1965 where Aurora was a homemaker and treasured taking care of her family. After 57 years of being happily married, Jose preceded her in death in 1997. Aurora was also a seamstress for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son: Roberto Moreno; three brothers: Ramon Hilberto Alaniz, Ascension Alaniz and Jose Alaniz; four sisters: Dora Alaniz, Elvira Cantu. Rosa Moya and Maria; and two grandchildren: JoAnn Moreno and Rudy Gamez.

Aurora is survived by three sons: Jose Moreno Jr and wife Filemena of Plainview, Roland Moreno and wife Alicia and Mario Moreno and wife Margarita all of Garland; two daughters: Yolanda Gamez and husband Ricardo of Plainview and Hilda Escamilla and husband Robert of North Richland Hills; sister:Emma Rios of Arizona; 26 grandchildren;70 great grandchildren; 119 great great grandchildren and 7 great great great grandchildren.
