IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Aron Mykul
Garcia
December 20, 1999 – August 25, 2025
On August 25, 2025, Aron was reunited with his Nana, who passed away on June 2, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Abundant Grace Church in Plainview, with Pastor Joe Barrera officiating. Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm, Friday, September 5, 2025, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.
Aron was born in Lubbock, Texas to Ernest Garcia and Kayla Cabrera on December 20, 1999. He graduated from Kress High School in 2019. He continued his education at South Plains College and Texas Tech University, where he was currently enrolled. He was working as a CNA with aspirations of becoming a doctor. One of his proudest accomplishments was being FCCLA State President.
Aron who also was known as A-Ron, loved the Red Raiders and Disney. He was bougee, funny, loving, joyful, compassionate, and brave. He believed in God and believed in his favorite scripture, Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." He also believed and would often say that "God is greater than the highs and the lows."
His infamous quotes of "Aww shit" and "I'm just praying" when he was caught sleeping, will be missed.
If Aron could say anything during his funeral it would probably be, "why are we gathered here today?" and Aron would know that he left this world a little kinder and brighter because his love touched everyone around him, his laughter brought light to the darkness, and his presence changed lives.
His legacy will continue to shape the hearts of others through those he leaves behind: his mother, Kayla Cabrera; his father, Ernest Garcia; his brother Zachariah Garcia and his wife Shayla of Plainview; the lights of his life, his nieces and nephews, Saige, Charlee, Maddie, and Leo; his maternal Grandfather, Antonio Cabrera, and his paternal Grandmother, Maxine Garcia.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Elena "Nena" Cabrera, and paternal grandfather, Faustino Rangel Garcia.
