Obituary

Armando Barrera Sr., 68, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 in Plainview, Texas. Mr. Barrera was born on November 24, 1946 to the late Bernadino Barrera and Presentacion (Ramirez) in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.

A Funeral Mass will be recited at 10 a.m. on Thursday July 2, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Raymundo Manriquez officiating. Mr. Barrera was employed by Azteca Millings for 20 plus years, where he was known for his hard work ethic. Anyone who worked with Armando would tell you the he was a very intelligent man, and could work with any tool, or any piece of equipment put in front of him. He was a man of many traits. Armando was very well known around the community as a man with a heart of gold. He was always willing to help out anyone, and everyone in any way possible; he was known for always being very dependable. Armando loved spending time with his family, enjoyed watching sports, gardening, the outdoors, and anything mechanical. Mr. Barrera was a great friend, co-worker, jokester, but most of all a very great family man.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are two sons; Armando Barrera Jr., Mario A. Barrera and two daughters, Diana Barrera, and Lizette Barrera. He was also blessed with eight grandchildren. SUPER MARIO will be truly missed.
