Ara J. Waller, 92 of Pecos, Texas, formerly of Plainview, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 o'clock in the morning on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Lemons Memorial Chapel with Evan Weiss, Minister of 9th & Columbia Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Ara J. Waller was born on February 12, 1928 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Offer Justin and Lillie Adeline (Horton) Boykin. Ara married Leroy Waller on November 3, 1945 in Antlers, Oklahoma. They moved from Oklahoma to Plainview in 1950. Ara was a bookkeeper for Wallers Texaco & Gulf and was also a manager at 24th street Dairy Queen. Ara was a member of 9th & Columbia Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Ara is survived by two daughters, Delores Mitchell and Patricia Hacker; grandchildren, Destinie Duvall, Randy L. Mitchell, Benjamin Mitchell, Christina Mitchell and Christopher Mitchell; great grandchildren, Natalie Boehm, Amethyst Mitchell, Dorian Menchaca, Phoenix Mitchell, Syra Mitchell, Rowen Gonzales, Caleb Mitchell and Artemis Mitchell.
