Antonio C. Flores, 66 of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, in Lubbock. The family of Mr. Flores will have a visitation beginning at 2:00pm-6:00pm, the Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass for Mr. Flores will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview, officiated by Father Bill Anton. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.
Antonio was born on October 10, 1956, to Pascual Flores and Amelia Castro Flores in Matamoros, Coahuila, Mexico. He married Estella Talamantes in Turkey, Texas on January 6, 1978. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview, Texas.
Antonio enjoyed family BBQ's, he loved to cook, his specialty being chicharrónes and carnitas. He was a fan of boxing and baseball. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he really loved to spoil.
He also had a special talent, which was singing and playing music. Many loved to hear his unique voice, so much so, that many people would request him to play at their loved one's funeral, Mass, or any event. Antonio's talent and voice will be missed in his church, and community.
Those left to cherish his memory and keep his legacy alive are his wife, Estella Flores; his three sons: Tony Flores and his wife Diana, Alvino Flores, and Adriel Flores (Jessica Landeros), all of Plainview; three brothers: Salvador Flores of Juarez, Mexico, Raymundo Flores of Matamoros, Coahuila, Mexico, and Pascual Flores of Plainview; two sisters: Maria De La Luz Flores of Juarez, Mexico, and Lydia Flores of Hale Center; and six grandchildren.
Antonio is preceded in death by his parents, Pascual, and Amelia Flores; two brothers: Manuel and Librado Flores; and two sisters: Guadalupe Salas and Amelia Ruiz.
