Funeral Services will be at noon on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Iglesia Bautista Date Street with Rev. Santos Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery. There will be a prayer service on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lemons Memorial Chapel.
Alicia was born on August 13, 1946 in San Antonio to Fidencio and Antonia (Rodriguez) Montez.
Alicia was a caring, modest woman who loved her family and loved caring for them. She spent most of her adult life as a homemaker and nothing mattered more than caring for those she loved. She had a cat that she adored. Her favorite pastime was watching old movies. She was a member of Iglesia Bautista Date Street.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Alicia is survived by five daughters, Antonia Gonzales and husband Jorge Bernal, San Juanita Hernandez and husband Joe, Zoila Rodriguez and husband Elbardo Treviño all of Plainview, Mary Esther Vargas and husband Joe of Dimmitt and Josephine Saldaña and husband Daniel of Amarillo; six sons, Margarito Alvarado and wife Odilia of Plainview, Juan Luna, Jr. and wife Cindy of Harlingen, Jose Angel Luna and wife Helen of Houston, Peter Luna and wife Belen of Amarillo, Hector Luna and wife Lori of Abilene and Mariano Gonzales and wife Stephanie of Amarillo. She is also survived by three sisters, Irene Rosales of Norwalk, OH, Cecilia Massie of Sandusky, OH and Corina Moreno, of San Antonio as well as 33 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
