Obituary

Alicia Gonzalez, 83 of Hart, passed away, Friday, November 4, 2022, at her residence. Viewing and Funeral Service for Mrs. Gonzalez will be held at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Viewing will begin at 4:00pm-8:00pm, Tuesday, November 8, 2022, and Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm, Wednesday, November 9, 2022, officiated by Rosario Gonzalez, Jr. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Alicia was born on October 9, 1939, in Mission, Texas to Avalon and Maria (Attwood) Lopez. She married Jesus Gonzalez on February 25, 1959, in McAllen, Texas. Alicia enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, going to the movies, baking, gardening, and scratching lottery tickets. She loved spending time with her family.

Alicia is survived by five sons, Jesus and Juanita Gonzalez, Jr. of Denton, Arnulfo Gonzalez of Hart, Rene and Rebecca Gonzalez of Levelland, Modesto and Alicia Gonzalez of Sundown, and Rosario and Ermalinda Gonzalez of Hart; three daughters, Elanor and Alvin Peterson of Lawton, OK, Alicia and Isidro Guzman of Bryan, and Anita and Edward Casanova of Cross Roads; four brothers, two sisters; twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Gonzalez, her parents. Avalon and Maria Lopez, a brother, Avalon Lopez, Jr., a sister, Elva Garcia, and great grand-baby, Moses Adam Hernandez.
