Obituary

Alfred J. Nanstiel, 92, of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016, with his wife at his side.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Kingdom Hall in Plainview with Brother Ramon Rios officiating.

Alfred was born on September 27, 1924 in Freeland, Pennsylvania to Arthur and Lucy (Eder) Nanstiel. They were a hard working immigrant farming family. He later became a serviceman, a baker, a truck driver and finally, a janitorial contractor in his "retirement" years. He did this work until just a few months before his passing.

He was a proud WWII Veteran having served in the US Army. He is remembered by many locally as a likeable janitorial contractor. His humor and joking manner will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death his parents and several family members.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Teresa, of the home, two daughters, Patsy and Alma and two sons, Charles and Allen, all from a previous marriage; four step children, Mario Reyna, John Reyna and wife Esmeralda, Stella Wickersheim and Frances Ritz and husband Alfred. He is also survived by several grandchildren.

The family invites any who would like to help with his funeral expenses to make a contribution through Lemons Funeral Home.
