Plainview-Abigail Vargas, 82, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014. A celebration of life memorial service will be held Friday at 4 p.m. in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Memorial service arrangements are under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Vargas was born on July 18, 1931 to the late Ignacio and Feliciana (Hernandez) Vargas in Durango, Mexico. She married Serapio Vasquez in 1950, and he preceded her in death in August of 1977. Mrs. Vargas loved traveling just to see any new places, and she also had a great passion for sewing and crocheting. She was a member of Jehova Witness Kingdom of Plainview. Those left to cherish her memory are; two sons, Arnulfo and wife Candelaria Vasquez, Efren Vasquez, two daughters, Martha and Imelda Vasquez. Also eleven grandchildren; Nelly, Olivia, Adriana, Gabby, Griselda, Arnie, Alex, Rosie, Raymundo, Tony, and Cecy, as well as nineteen great-grandchildren.
